A growing family needs more leaders: thanks to Sue and Phil for stepping up!

Blood Cancer Unceonseed the website, the Facebook group and the weekly zoom call are all growing! (see the group for more details or email us) Soon we will have 400 members on Facebook. Thousands read this webpage. And often on the weekly zoom call we are breaking up into smaller groups to keep the friendly feel.

I love our sense of family and that so many of you our members are stepping up to the plate to welcome newcomers and befriend each other as well as write on this website or the group. We aim to be a family rather than just another Facebook group or website.

But in any growing family we need a team of leaders. And I always prefer it when those leaders emerge organically. I suspect that those of you who are around us a lot won’t be surprised that we are adding to the team Sue White and Philip Webb. Sue can be seen above and this is Phil:

These guys will help Lisa, Adrian and Lynn administrate the Facebook group, although thankfully all our members make doing that really easy. People said we would have chaos if we had so few rules. But we’ve had a fantastic sense of peace and mutual respect.

The five of us will also run the weekly zoom calls and the smaller sub calls I expect us to use more and more. We are also available for one to one calls with any reader who needs a bit of suport but doesn’t yet feel confident joining the zoom based group.

Thank you all again for making this family such a joy to lead. And thank you for welcoming Phil and Sue as they join our wonderful team as we push forward to make this group a welcoming home for anyone with any form of blood cancer or a family member who has one. Don’t be a stranger make yourself known to us. Join our family you won’t regret it.

This video will give you a feel of what you are missing in our group and zoom call.
